Μιανμάρ: Βομβαρδισμοί από τη χούντα στα συντρίμμια – Πάνω από 1.700 οι νεκροί

A rare moment of hope in its ruins, where they left their last breath, after 7.7 Richter. One woman was brought alive after 60 hours of being trapped in the debris of the Great Wall Hotel in Mandalei. The rescue operation lasted for more than five hours.

The video shows the woman being transported with a stretcher, while people applaud the efforts of rescue workshops. Its condition is stable.

On Sunday workers who rushed to find survivors in an apartment complex in Mandalei, they took a pregnant woman who had been trapped for two days, amputating her leg in order to release her. However, shortly thereafter her death was found.

Rescuers, many of whom are volunteers inadequately equipped, have passed days trying to get people out of buildings that collapsed after Friday’s huge earthquake. Electric and communication cuts, damaged roads and bridges make their work even more difficult.

Day by day there are fears that the victims’ report will be large (1,700 people have already died) and the magnitude of the real disaster has not yet been revealed.
