The Federal Prosecutor’s Office (MPF) reported, on Monday (31), thirteen former executives and former employees of Americanas () for involvement in. Among the accused is Miguel Gutierrez, former CEO of the company, who currently lives in Spain. The information is from the newspaper The globe.
According to the newspaper, the complaint also includes Anna Saicali, a former B2W, responsible for the digital area, as well as Thimoteo Barros, Marcio Cruz (both vice presidents) and former directors Carlos Padilha, João Guerra, Murilo Corrêa, Maria Christina Nascimento, Fabien Picavet and Raoni Fabiano.
Prosecutors point Miguel Gutierrez as the main responsible for the fraud, according to The globe. The MPF states that while leading American stores, Gutierrez was aware of all frauds, including suggesting changes in the financial balance sheets that would be disclosed.

On the night of January 11, 2023, Americanas reported accounting inconsistencies in the amount of $ 20 billion. On the same day, the newly arrived CEO Sergio Rial and CFO André Covre resigned on the positions.
