PT NOT RIMA WITH PUBLIC ACCOUNT CONTROL, Says Deputy with an eye on TCU – 31/03/2025 – Panel

Cited as a possible name for the Minister of the (Federal Court of Audit) next year, who is also eyeing the vacancy.

“The PT does not rhyme much to be careful with the public accounts,” he says, recalling episodes such as the tax pedaling of the Dilma Rousseff administration, among others.

The PT says the vacancy was promised when the party bench supported the candidacy of Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB) for president of the House of Representatives last year. The probable nominee is former petista leader Odair Cunha (MG).

Strong, however, says he did not participate in this negotiation and intends to sew support his name with Centrão parties. He also uses in his favor the fact that he specialized in budget issues in Congress – it was rapporteur of the budget guidelines law, for example.
