ASAE’s inspection operation is taking place across the country. The operation has the collaboration of the Republican National Guard (GNR) and the Public Security Police (PSP).
A This Thursday is doing inspection actions. The operation aims to control and verify the hygiene and food safety conditions of food goods, namely olive oil, meat, fish and bakery products.
Speaking to SIC, ASAE Inspector-General Luís Lourenço, who is following the operation on the 25 de Abril Bridge in Lisbon district, said that “about 500 transports have already been inspected” in this operation that began on Thursday afternoon with the Portuguese borders.
“Only three offenses were detected, which is an excellent sign because the demand for economic buyers for compliance with the legislation is visible.”
These inspection actions are taking place at 50 points of the country. At the 25 de April Bridge, around 9:30 am, about 100 vehicles had already been inspected.
ASAE’s inspector-general also said that the operation has the collaboration of the Republican National Guard (GNR) and the Public Security Police (PSP).
