A authorized credit release to various critical areas, including insurance and combat. The highest transfer, in the amount of R $ 418 million, will be destined to pay the defense insurance for artisanal fishermen in the northern region, which have faced difficulties due to prolonged drought. This financial support is crucial to ensuring the subsistence of these workers and their families, which depend on fishing to survive.
In addition to supporting fishermen, the approved measure also allocates resources for facing forest fires, crime, health and food safety. The Ministry of Health, for example, will receive R $ 238 million for the purchase of inputs for the strengthening of Primary Care. Deputy Erika Kokay (PT-DF) highlighted the importance of this provisional measure, especially in the context of climate crises that the country faces. She emphasized that these resources are essential to combat burning and mitigate the consequences of climate change, classifying the current situation as inhuman.
However, project approval was not unanimous. Opposition parliamentarians expressed criticism, pointing out a supposed lack of predictability in spending. Despite the divergences, the need for resources to face environmental and social emergencies has been widely recognized. Deputy Erika Kokay defended the measure, arguing that resource allocation is a necessary response to crises that directly affect the population. In addition to the resources mentioned, the measure includes almost R $ 75 million for the Cisterns program, R $ 36 million for the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio) and almost R $ 26 million for the National Public Security Force.
