Faced with the lack of a more robust legislative framework to face a global trade war, the government began to support the bill, which was reported in the Senate by Senator Tereza Cristina (PP-MS), former minister of agriculture of the Bolsonaro government.

From the text, it will be up to the CAMEX (Foreign Trade Chamber) Strategic Council to decide whether to be contracted at different spheres (restriction on imports of goods and services; suspension of commercial concessions, investment and obligations related to intellectual property rights).
