Party loses deputy governor Priscila Krause, as well as all 32 mayors and mayors of the state
Politicians of the (Brazilian Social Democracy Party) in Pernambuco, among them the deputy governor, announced on Thursday (3.br.2025), in a statement, their party dissemination. The decision was made after the national executive of the subtitle appointed, president of the (Legislative Assembly of Pernambuco), intervener of the State Directory, which until then was chaired by Fred Loyo.
In addition to Krause and Loyo, all 32 mayors and party mayors in the state declared their departure from the subtitle. The national executive claimed as a justification for the intervention, informed on Wednesday (2.abr), “External interference and deviation from party policy” e “violation of party integrity”For the Pernambuco State Directory.
In the announcement of the discharge, without specifying the destination after the departure of the PSDB, the now former minitants preached the union. “We follow together and certain that we build a victorious project that will continue to serve Pernambuco with courage, integrity and commitment to people“.
In X, the deputy governor stated that the intervention of the national PSDB “Does not dialogue with democracy” and that regrets the measure.
The news of the discharge comes at a critical moment for the PSDB, which has gradually lost space in national politics. Less than 1 month ago, on March 1, Governor Raquel Lyra also the party and joined the PSD.
Since its founding in 1988, the 2022 presidential elections have been in the head of the plate. The caption supported Simone Tebet (MDB )’s candidacy indicating the vice, Mara Gabrilli.
Regarding the municipalities, Pernambuco had stood out as one in 2024, after, as São Paulo, where historical leaders were launched such as former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1995-2002) and former Governors Franco Montoro (1983-1987), Mário Covas (1995-2001), José Serra (2007-2011) and Geraldo Alckmin (2001-2006 and 2011-2018, at PSB since 2022).
