A routine magazine procedure almost ended in tragedy on the night of last Sunday (6) at convenience Amazon Coffee, located in the center of Guajará, in the interior of the Amazon. A young man was immobilized by a security guard with a scam known as “lion kill” after the agent locates a knife at the victim’s waist.

According to witness reports, the young man had just entered the establishment when he was approached for the magazine. During the check, the vigilante would have identified the knife cable attached to the boy’s belt. Without giving chance to explanations or any reaction, the security guard took the object and then applied the strangulation blow, causing the young man to lose his senses for a few seconds.
The action generated revolt between people who witnessed the scene and raised questions about the conduct of the security agent, especially regarding the excessive use of force in a situation that, until then, had no immediate threat.
To date, the establishment has not officially commented on the case, and there is no information if the victim or family members have registered a police report. The Civil Police must investigate security conduct and the circumstances of the approach.
