Aircraft with marijuana -like substance fell near the São Manoel River, border between Mato Grosso and Pará, after ignoring the order of change of route
The (Brazilian Air Force) with 2 A-29 Super Tucano fighters a twin-engine plane that entered, without permission, in the national airspace on Sunday (13.br.2025) after taking off from Peru. Agents of (Federal Police) arrested 2 Bolivians and seized packages with a substance similar to marijuana near the aircraft.
According to the Force, airspace policing measures were adopted after the plane was identified around 9am by radars. However, the twin -engine maintained behavior irregular, ignoring an order of change of route, and collided With the soil in a remote area, near the São Manoel River, border between the states of Mato Grosso and Pará. The suspects and the material were taken to Alta Floresta (MT).
The operation was coordinated by (Aerospace Operations Command), in partnership with PF and supported by (Special Border Group), linked to the Military Police of Mato Grosso, and took place in a difficult to reach region in the vicinity of Aldeia Ariramba.
The interception is part of Operation Ostium, conducted at the PPIF (Integrated Border Protection Program), to combat crimes in Brazilian airspace through integrated actions between the FAB and public safety agencies.
