China’s economy grows 5.4% in the first quarter

China registered economic growth of 5.4% in the first three months of 2025, showed official data on Wednesday (15) in the country.

The result is higher than the expectations of more than 50 economists surveyed by Reuters, who predicted an expansion of 5.1%.
