HPV vaccination reduces risk of death from cervical cancer to zero


London – The introduction of HPV vaccinations in England has reduced the risk of young women dying from cervical cancer to almost zero, according to a study. Between 2020 and 2024, not a single woman aged 20 to 24 died of cervical cancer in England, according to research published on Thursday in the journal The Lancet. It is estimated that the HPV vaccination saved almost 200 lives during this period.
