Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) on Wednesday morning traveled to an official visit to Croatia, where he will meet the country’s top representatives, informs the TASR rapporteur. The premiere will also be accompanied by the head of Slovak diplomacy Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD).
At the beginning of a visit to Zagreb, the Slovak Prime Minister will be welcomed by his counterpart Andrej Plenkovič at the Office of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. They will discuss the deepening of mutual bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic field. They are also planning to discuss cooperation options in the energy sector, including ensuring energy security for Slovakia.
The theme of the meeting will also be current development in European policy, For example, issues of illegal migration and European integration of the Western Balkan countries, the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic specified in a statement.
During the visit to Zagreb, Fico will also meet with Croatian President Zoran Milanovič and President of the Parliament Gordan Jandrokovič. The Prime Minister should return to Slovakia on Wednesday evening.
