B3, the Brazil Stock Exchange, announced on Monday (22) that it will significantly expand the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its products and services throughout 2025. The initiative focuses on the adoption of AI agents, autonomous systems capable of performing complex tasks independently. The measure aims to increase the company’s internal productivity and improve customer experience. The company did not say how much it will invest in this front.
Unlike AI assistants, who respond to human commands based on available information, AI agents have the autonomy to make decisions, interact with the environment, and pursue the best strategies to achieve defined goals. This difference makes agents powerful tools to automate processes, integrate systems, and drastically reduce the execution time of organizational tasks.

B3 already uses agents in some operational areas. An example is the Digital Coachan AI agent who works in the monitoring of the service centers. He analyzes aspects of the calls, identifies communication failures and measures the effectiveness in customer service, offering insights to continually improve the company’s internal processes.

According to Thiago Suzano, director of Software and Data Engineering from B3, the new phase of AI should revolutionize the way the company operates. “We have a large intellectual capacity within the company that is often taken by procedural and operational tasks. Our goal is to increase the company’s operational capacity, releasing employees to intellectual work, which is the big difference from human to AI,” he said in a statement. For him, the adoption of agents should reduce activities that took days to be resolved to just a few minutes.
