It continues to investigate the case involving a family from the municipality of Imperatriz, the victim of consuming a poisoned. The 36 -year -old woman pointed out as the main suspicion, arrested in the act on the 17th, remains detained. Two children died.
In an interview with Globo TV Mirante, Mirian Lira, who lost her two children, said she only wants justice. “Only God. From now on I don’t have a little notion of how it will be. I just want justice to be done because it was my two children that I will not have more back. Only what I ask for is justice,” said the mother who was discharged hospital.
The allegedly poisoned chocolate was delivered to the family residence on the 16th night by a motorcycle taxi driver hired by the suspicion. There is no evidence of his participation in the crime, according to police. Mirian and the two children were sick after eating Easter egg. The boy died on the 17th and the girl, who was hospitalized with her mother, died on Tuesday (22).
“When they came to pack, they called me, right? Asking if I had received it. But in my head, I thought it was the people of Cocoa Show confirming if I had received the packaging. I just said I had received and did not seek to investigate where it came.
Case under investigation
“The victim’s current companion, mother of the allegedly poisoned children, is a former suspicion partner. He was heard by the police and his statement was fundamental to reach his wife and his arrest was made,” said the Maranhão State Department of Public Security. The name of the suspect was not revealed and thus the defense was not found.
Prison
Police even suspected after analyzing images of security cameras from a commercial establishment from the city of Maranhão. In the video, the woman would appear wearing a wig and buying the chocolate. “In addition, the arrest was based on testimonials of witnesses and family members who indicated the woman as the main suspicion of committing the crime,” said the Civil Police.
The agents managed to intercept and arrest the woman on a highway. The suspicion was on an intercity bus traveling from Empress to Santa Inês, a municipality where he resided. At the time, the civil police seized two wigs (one blonde and one black), chocolate remains, medicines and bus tickets. One of the tickets was bought last Monday, 14, two days before the family received the order.
During the short time when he was in Imperatriz, the suspect was staying in a hotel. The child’s body underwent necropsy examination at the Imperatriz Legal Medical Institute and the Civil Police awaits the expert report to confirm the cause of death.
The city’s Criminalistics Institute was also requested to collect material for laboratory analysis of victims who were hospitalized at the time, mother and daughter. Easter egg samples were also referred for analysis the result should come out soon.
