The Mayor of Bratislava Matúš Vallo awarded the Mayor of Bratislava Award 2025 in the Hviezdoslav Theater on Hviezdoslav on Thursday evening. Seven personalities became this year’s laureates. One of the awards was awarded in memoriam.
“The Mayor’s Award is a rare opportunity to survive the feeling of unconditional enjoyment and gratitude. Something that should be a common part of our daily lives, but we are getting less and less. To appreciate exceptional people who contribute to the power of communities, they all move us to a better, more tolerant, healthier and cultural society, ” Vallo noted.
Zuzana Kronerová received the award for his long -term social contribution in the field of culture and exceptional performances not only at the Bratislava theaters. Jana Žemličková was awarded for many years of professional assistance in the fight against addictions and the management of the AT sanatorium. Vladimír Michal and Jana Michalová were awarded for the popularization of books, literature and reading.
Otto Šimko has been awarded the inspirational life story, promoting democracy and mediation of important historical references to generations to protect democracy today. František Kubovič was awarded for the development of the community and the work of youth at the Salesians in Bratislava.
The in memoriam prize was awarded to Laco pushed for the construction of community, love for nature and meaningful spending of children’s free time Through the Lay Scouting section Wolf’s Wolfs, which has been operating in Bratislava continuously since 1984.
The Mayor of Bratislava Award is the most important city award with a long tradition. The Mayor of Bratislava is selected for the prize candidates together with the advisory choir.
