Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko has stated that Ukraine may temporarily give land as part of a peace agreement with Russia, the British BBC said on Friday (25).
“One of the scenarios is…. It’s not fair. But for peace, temporary peace, perhaps it can be a temporary solution,” Klitschko said in an interview with the BBC.
President Volodimir Zelensky can be forced to accept a “painful solution” to achieve peace, the mayor continued, although the Ukrainian people “would never accept occupation” by Russia.
Former heavyweight boxing champion Klitschko, Zelensky’s political rival, accused the president’s entourage earlier this year of political intrigue.
