The EU Commission wants to make the “Pickerl” digital across Europe

The EU Commission plans to digitize approval papers and periodic assessments for vehicles-known in Germany as a §-57A check or “Pickerl”. This was announced by the Commission on Thursday. Regular technical checks for electric cars and driver assistance systems, annual assessments of older cars and improved emissions tests are to come. Fraud stitches such as speedometer pilot should also be made more difficult.
