A car explosion near the death of a Russian general. The incident was announced by the National Research Committee, which launched an investigation into “homicide”. The incident caused by “the firing of an improvised explosive mechanism”.
In a statement, the Commission says the victim was General Yaroslav Moskalik, “Deputy Director of the Department of Basic Operations of the Russian Army General Staff”. It is noted that the explosion took place in the Balasica suburb, which is a few kilometers east of the Russian capital.

Who was the general who lost his life
Moscalik, who had the rank of Lieutenant General, had participated in many high -level Russian delegations, according to press reports and information from the Ministry of Defense.
He participated in the October 2015 meeting of the so -called “Normandy Figure”, a group consisting of delegations from Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France, who overseered Minsk’s agreements aimed at Moscow -backed.
Moskalik also represented the Russian Army General Staff in the negotiations with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Kremlin Advisor Yuri Usakov, according to the Kremlin website.

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) did not respond immediately to a request to comment on information about Moskalik’s death.
