The CBMAC team was fired around 1:30 pm, but faced difficulties to reach the scene due to the precariousness of the road, which had numerous holes and poor traffic conditions. The poor conservation of BR-364 was even pointed as one of the factors that delayed the response time and aggravated the situation.
Already near the fire site, the firefighters spotted a dense cloud of smoke. With the use of hoses and two combat lines, the flames were controlled within minutes. Prior to that, the driver still tried to put out the fire with four 4kg extinguishers he succeeded in a nearby school but was unsuccessful.

The fire destroyed six tires on the right side of the truck, including the spare tire, damaged all the electrical wiring and consumed part of the side canvas of the trailer. After the extinction of fire, the firefighters performed the aftermath work to eliminate remaining outbreaks and ensure the safety of the area.
“The prompt action of the garrison prevented the fire spread to other parts of the trailer and avoided even greater damage. It is emphasized the difficulty of access to the site as a critical factor for the response time, due to the poor conservation of the road,” said the Feijó Fire Department.
