European health insurance card (EHIC card) is issued in our country by the National Health Fund. It is worth kneading it before traveling abroad, because thanks to EHIC, in the event of an unforeseen situation, we can get medical assistance on the same conditions as the citizens of the country we went to. It is worth noting that, according to the information provided on the government, if there is an obligation in a given country in a given country, then a person with an EHIC card must also bear such costs.
It is honored in all European Union countries and in Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland. Importantly, according to information published on the government page: “EHIC does not cover the costs of returning to the country in connection with the sudden illness.”
Covering the European Health Insurance Card It is not too complicated. The application for its issuing can be sent electronically via the IKP patient, Mojeikp or EPUAP. We can also take care of the EHEC card in person by going to the National Health Fund facility.

For Creating an eHuz card We don’t have to incur any costs. Its release usually lasts several business days, but during an increased interest, the time of issuing the card may be extended. An important issue is that we cannot use the EHIC or EHIC certificate if we lose the right to benefits financed by the National Health Fund during their validity. Then the right to use them expires after 30 days. It is worth asking for details about this issue at the NFZ facility.
