The National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (Anepc) is sending SMS messages to inform the population about gradual restoration of electricity after a general blackout that affected Portugal and other European countries.
“Energy connection is being gradual. With the serenity of all, we will guarantee the essential services and the standardization of the situation in the next few hours,” says SMS sent by Anepc and confirmed to Lusa by Civil Protection.
The National Operational Coordination Center, which is part of the entities in the context of protection and relief operations, is gathered since 13:30 at the headquarters of the anepc To monitor the situation and adopt the necessary procedures due to the lack of energy in mainland Portugal.
This meeting is chaired by the Secretary of State for Civil Protection.
