In an interview with the “Basticast” podcast, last Monday (21), the former defender said that it was with Alexandre Mattos, football director of Palmeiras at the time, that the story began.
“I was snacking in a corridor and Alexandre Mattos called me and said ‘Gidal, I’m at Allianz for Justin Bieber’s show, when I went to offer the shirt to him, he asked 6, your shirt and he is wearing his shirt at the show,'” Egidio started.
The former player kept saying that people started sending him photos of Justin Bieber with Palmeiras shirt 6 at his show. Back in São Paulo, Egidio received the request to record the video.

Meme took so much that when Egidio moved to Fluminense in 2020, he revived the episode in the ad video.
