US Treasury announces sanctions on ships that supply Houthis

O US Treasury Department announced on Monday (28), new sanctions against three ships and their owner companies, on charges of providing oil derivatives to Hethis, a group considered terrorist and ally of Iran.

The measure, according to the statement, of group A commercial ships in the Red Sea.

“This action reinforces our commitment to interrupt Houthis’s efforts to finance their dangerous and destabilizers attacks in the region,” said Treasury Deputy Secretary Michael Faulkender.

Sanctions reach companies Zaas Shipping & Trading Co, Shipping Inc. e Great Success Shipping Coaccused of unloading liquefied oil of oil (LPG) and diesel in the port of Ras oneafter exhaling a special treasure license earlier this month.
