Half of Spain’s power grid is restored after blackout, says Prime Minister

Spain’s network operator restored the supply of electricity to about half of the country after a large energy blackout affected the Iberian Peninsula on Monday, and the rest is due to be restored by Tuesday, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said.

The authorities have not yet established what caused the blackout and did not rule out any hypothesis, he added in a televised speech.
