As with what has been happening with União Brasil and Progressives, which must merge into a single party, the PSDB and we can also discuss, from Tuesday (28), the possibility of merging into a single acronym. Toucans say negotiations are already advanced and the tendency is the approval of the Union.

Currently, the PSDB has 3 senators and 13 federal deputies. We can have 4 senators and 15 deputies. If the merger advances, the new party bench may have 7 senators and 28 deputies.
There is still no definition about what will be the name of the new subtitle. There are those who argue that, for now, the new party is only called “PSDB-Podos”, and the official choice of the new name is forward. But there are already considered names. They are “together 20” and “moderate”.
The toucans expect that, from the approval of the merger and the advance of the joining of the acronyms, it is a name of the PSDB that assumes the presidency of the new party at this first moment. One of the pre-established agreements is that, in the state directories where there are senators of the new acronym, these should be the presidents-in Acre, neither party has senators. As each of the 7 senators who are one of the subtitles is from a different state, there should be no dispute for the place in these places.
The only exception should be Mato Grosso do Sul, the state of Senator Soraya Thronicke (Somos-MS), who must have as president of the new acronym Governor Eduardo Riedel (PSDB). If the junction is confirmed, two local policy chiefs, state deputy Luiz Gonzaga (PSDB) and sports secretary Ney Amorim should fight for the local presidency of the new acronym.
