It will be a long, and probably arduous, path for Ingrid Thurnher to be permanently appointed as ORF boss on Thursday. A long list of questions needs to be processed about the resignation of her predecessor Roland Weißmann due to harassment allegations and about foreseeable costs for the ORF, about current and previous compliance cases, about special contracts like that of ORF manager Pius Strobl and other special agreements, especially from the last months of Alexander Wrabetz at the top of the ORF. Thursday is likely to be a long day on Vienna’s Küniglberg, where the 35 ORF foundation boards meet.
