Philadelphia – Ivory Coast is in the knockout phase of a World Cup for the first time. The Ivorians maintained second place behind Germany in Group E thanks to a 2-0 (1-0) win against Curacao. Nicolas Pepe scored for the West Africans in the 7th minute in Philadelphia and also made the decision in the second half (64th). In the round of 16, Ivory Coast will face the runners-up in Group I, France or Norway, next Tuesday in Dallas.
