Chinese government registered 13.8 million electroposters in March 2025; comparison is with the same period of 2024

The number of electroposters – pools for recharge of electric cars – increased 48% in March 2025. The comparison is with the same period last year. The data are from the Chinese National Energy Agency.

In all, the Asian country has 13.8 million infrastructure for electric vehicle recharge. About 3.9 million electroposters are public, while 9.9 million are private facilities. The information is from the Chinese state newspaper.

Electroposters installed on highways now total 38,000 units and cover about 98% of the country’s service areas.

The Chinese agency reported that 13 provinces in the country have expanded coverage for all municipalities, which raised the penetration rate of electric vehicle recharge infrastructure at the municipal level to 76.9%.

China is the electric cars. In addition to having several brands that invest in vehicle development, the Chinese government also focuses on the expansion of the infrastructure needed to make electric cars viable for the population.

According to the newspaper almost half of the cars sold in China in 2024 were electric.

The amount of electroposters in China is more than 10,000 times higher than the number of recharge points installed in Brazil.
