The blocked leader argued that to combat the far right it is necessary to combat the oligarchs, insisting on the taxation of great fortunes, and combat inequalities.
The Left Block gathered, this Sunday, about 200 supporters in the hall of the incredible Almadense, in Almada, for the first rally of this election campaign.
It was on this stage that the former national coordinator, Catarina Martins, and the current, Mariana Mortágua, struck harsh criticism of the two biggest parties in this electoral race.
“Whose center governments, who have done politics to this day, can really complain, if not their own, who have opened the doors to the far right?” Asked Mariana Mortágua.
“These governments who bought the racist and xenophobic agenda, who gave in to the principles of human rights and that allowed the genocide of the people of Gaza, which allowed to destroy the border of humanity and destroy international law. Who can these parties and political leaders complain of?”
Mortágu has criticized PS and PSD for doing all this in recent years and still “the courage to say” vote to us because otherwise comes the far right. “

The rally, entitled “The European Left with Be”, featured interventions by Li Andersson (Left/Finland Alliance), Irene Montero (Somos) and Manon Aubry (France Insubmissa), and gathered in the audience of the party as the former national coordinator, Catarina Martins, and the three founders who will be heads in these legislatives: Francisco Loução (Braga) Roses (Leiria) and Luís Fazenda (Aveiro).
