Russian President says that country has enough resources to achieve military objectives without nuclear climbing in the conflict
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he has sufficient resources and strength to achieve his goals in without using nuclear weapons. The statement was made on video aired on Sunday (4.MAI.2025) on Russian state television, during a special recording that celebrates its 25 years in power.
In the transmission entitled “Russia, Kremlin, Putin, 25 years old”the Russian leader ruled out the possibility of nuclear climbing in the conflict that has lasted more than 3 years. War occurs mainly in Ukrainian territory.
“They wanted to tease us, they wanted to make us make mistakes. Well, there was no need to use nuclear weapons,” declared Putin. “I hope there is no need. We have enough strength and means to bring what was started in 2022 to a logical conclusion,” concluded.
Putin is the 2nd and 4th president of Russia, from 2000 to 2008 and later from 2012 to the present. In the period when he was not in office, he served as Prime Minister of the country.
On April 28, Putin had proposed a ceasefire from May 8-10 and invited to Ukraine to join the truce. The period coincides with the May 9 celebrations, also called “Victory Day”, in which the Russians celebrate the victory of the Soviet Union about Nazi Germany in World War II. Generally, there is a large parade in Red Square in Moscow, which brings together thousands of people.
