Player Miguel Ángel Terceros Acuña, known as Miguelito, was arrested in the act by the Paraná Civil Police, after the match between the worker and América-MG, on suspicion of racial injury. The case happened on Sunday night (4), in a match for the 6th round of Serie B of the Brazilian Championship.
The complaint came from striker Allano, who reported being the target of racist offenses given by Bolivian Miguelito, midfielder. The Minas Gerais club denied and classified the accusations of ‘unfounded’.
In the summary of the match, referee Alisson Sidnei Furtado, from Tocantins, reported the incident. According to him, the case was marked 30 minutes into the match, when Allano informed him that he was called ‘Black Cagão’ by América-MG athlete.
“I inform you that no member of the arbitration team on the playing field saw and/or heard such an incident. After the communication of the principal team, the Anti -Racism Protocol was immediately held, in its first stage, which consists in the stoppage of the game, the anti -racist gesture and the announcement made at the stadium explaining the reason for stopping the game and if the incident would not cease, the match would be interrupted”, the incident would be interrupted. ” he wrote.
The referee followed the official protocol of FIFA and CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) and maintained the match paralyzed for more than 15 minutes.
The worker won 1-0 playing at home.
According to Allano, the opponent gave the offenses after a ball dispute. Miguelito would have gone towards the striker of the team from Paraná and the cursed.
After the alleged curse, Allano and midfielder Jacy, also from the ghost, went to the Bolivian. Then they called referee Alisson Sidnei Furtado, who made the signal used to indicate racial injury – with the arms crossed in X – and stopped the game.
During the confusion, the workers of the worker revolted and shot glasses against players from America. A man in the crowd was removed from the stadium by the police.
After checking the images of the bid, the referee had the departure follow and Miguelito continued on the field. Allano received a yellow card in a next move for giving an entrance to the midfielder’s midfielder, which was replaced in the break.
In a statement, the railway worker says that “he vehemently repudiates any act of racism,” and “is seeking images and other elements to confirm the facts and take appropriate measures in the face of the severity of the situation.”
“We reinforce that the worker is providing all the necessary support to the Allano athlete and will follow firmly in his commitment to the fight against racism, on and off the field. We will not tolerate any form of discrimination,” says the text.
América-MG has expressed “total solidarity” to its athlete and stated that they are “unfounded accusations that try to associate their name the conduct of a racist nature.”
“After careful internal investigation and analysis of the available facts, no attitude, gesture or statement of the player who may, from any angle, was interpreted as discriminatory. On the contrary, Miguel Terceros has always shown ethical conduct, respect and sports, being widely recognized in the club for his professionalism and integrity,” he said.
