Romanian head of government resigns according to election debacle

Bucharest – After the debacle of the pro -European government coalition in the presidential election in Romania, the social democratic head of government Marcel Ciolacu announced his resignation on Monday evening. He draws the consequences from the coalition’s second bitter election defeat after her joint candidate Crin Antonescu missed the move into the runoff on Sunday, Ciolacu said after a meeting of his Social Democrats (PSD).
