Iran has accused Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to pull the US into a conflict in the Middle East

Negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program postponed, while Tehran emphasizes the need for diplomacy and mutual respect.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakči on Monday accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to pull the United States into a “disaster” in the Middle East. He also warned against any attempts to attack Iran, TASR writes according to AFP report.

“Netanyahu (trying) to retreat the US government into another disaster in our region,” he said on the X platform and warned against making “any mistake against Iran”. He accused Netanyahu of “trying to dictate (US) President (Donald) Trump, which he could and cannot do in his diplomacy with Iran”.

Critique of Netanyahu A USA

The Iranian boss of diplomacy thus pointed out the American support of Israel in the war in the Gaza band against the Palestinian Hamas movement. He also referred to retaliatory strikes against Yemen’s insurgents Húsi, who attack Israel and shipping in the Red Sea. Shiite Húsís is supported by Tehran. “Support for Netanyahu genocide in the Gaza Strip and the war guidance on behalf of Netanyahu in Yemen did not bring anything to the Americans,” the minister said.

The next round of Iran’s negotiations with the US on the Tehran nuclear program was postponed, and Oman as an intermediary said it was “logistical reasons”. From April 12, three rounds of indirect interviews took place at the highest level since 2018, when Trump resigned from the nuclear agreement with the powers. It mitigated sanctions imposed on Iran in exchange for limiting his nuclear activities. Tehran then ceased to comply with the agreement and progressed significantly in nuclear development. However, he called on Netanyahu to dispose of the Iranian nuclear program. A trusted agreement must “eliminate the ability of Iran to enrich uranium with nuclear weapons” and prevent the development of ballistic missiles, Netanyahu added.

The nuclear voltage continues

Trump said on Sunday that he would only accept the “complete liquidation” of the Iranian nuclear program, but also indicated that it is open to discuss the program focused on civilian use, writes AFP. Tehran has long denied that he would seek to obtain atomic weapons and claim that its nuclear program is intended exclusively for civilian purposes. The Iranian minister reiterated that if the aim of negotiations is to prevent the production of Iran’s nuclear weapons, “the agreement is achievable and there is only one way to close it: diplomacy based on mutual respect and common interests”.
