Eduardo Bolsonaro posts criticism of Michelle and praise for Flávio after family crisis

Eduardo Bolsonaro did not make any direct statement about the videos in which Michelle Bolsonaro accuses senator and pre-candidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) of humiliation. On social media, however, the former deputy dedicated Thursday, the 25th, to republishing content that questions his stepmother’s motivations and reinforces his brother’s image as a presidential candidate.

In one of the publications, Eduardo shared a link to a video with the title: “Dossier: Michelle – As Notícias Dementem”. The self-exiled former deputy said in the post: “Always taking a trip to the past to understand the present.”

In the recording, a YouTuber accuses the former first lady of not supporting Flávio’s pre-candidacy for president, of making it difficult for children and allies to access the former president during house arrest and of acting out of personal interests instead of prioritizing the defeat of the PT.

Eduardo Bolsonaro posts criticism of Michelle and praise for Flávio after family crisis

Eduardo also republished a video of former deputy Alexandre Ramagem, who lives in the United States while facing extradition proceedings requested by Brazil. Ramagem stated that Michelle “brought up an issue from seven months ago to harm Flávio” and that the former first lady “threw a tantrum” for not accepting her husband’s decision about the candidacy.

The allies and Flávio himself try to portray Michelle’s videos as the result of an impulsive decision, motivated by emotions. Flávio himself reinforced this reading. “Our whole family is going through a very difficult time. I understand Michelle’s anguish seeing my father, every day, suffering from such injustice”, said the senator. “I suffer too, but I remain firm,” he said.

In the videos that generated the crisis, Michelle claimed to suffer daily attacks coordinated by a group from the United States, where Eduardo, Ramagem and other Bolsonarists are in exile.

Eduardo also dedicated his feed to posts defending his brother. Reblogged this by Fernanda Bolsonaro, Flávio’s wife, who described her husband as “light, respectful, affectionate and a dedicated father”.

The republication of a speech by journalist Claudio Dantas followed the same direction. He stated that Michelle expected Flávio to have “an aggressive, youthful reaction” and that the senator responded with ’empathy and humility, worthy of a mature leadership”. Supporter Claudia Aker classified Flávio’s video as “impeccable, intelligent and aggregating” and said that the senator “deserves to be the next president of Brazil”.

Before the crisis, still on Tuesday, the 23rd, Eduardo Bolsonaro needled Michelle. In response to allies who debated the PL’s alliance with Ciro Gomes (PSDB) in Ceará, he wrote: “Thank you @jairbolsonaro and @andrefernm [André Fernandes, líder do PL cearense] for doing serious and intelligent work. You don’t play politics with your liver.”

The phrase was a provocation to his stepmother, who publicly opposes the composition with Ciro Gomes.

Outside of the family crisis, Eduardo also commented on Keiko Fujimori’s victory in Peru’s presidential election, celebrating the result as a victory for the right. And he shared about his trip to Brazil’s World Cup game against Scotland. The former deputy turned his trip to the game into a provocation towards Lula’s son.
