Meeting is in the condition as chairman of the Public Security Commission and follows an agenda released by the Embassy
The Senator (PL-RJ) met this Monday (5.MAI.2025) with Ricardo Pita, advisor to the Western Hemisphere Secretariat of Affairs and one of the members of the United States entourage to talk about criminal organizations in Brazil. Flávio was as chairman of the Public Security Commission.
The meeting took place in the office of the former president’s son (PL) and lasted about 40 minutes. Also participating the chairman of the Chamber Commission, Federal Deputy Paulo Bilynskij (PL-SP).
Flávio Bolsonaro denied that he approached any sanctions or allegations of excesses of the judiciary, as had been announced by his brother, licensed federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL), but said other meetings with the US entourage may still occur in the coming days.
The US entourage is headed by US Government’s Intension Coordinator David Gamble, who landed in Brasilia on Monday and, according to the US embassy, will meet a focus on combating organized crime. Will have bilateral meetings and “will discuss US sanction programs aimed at combating terrorism and drug trafficking”. Who will participate in the meetings, however, was not specified.
Unofficially, he can meet Bolsonaro’s allies and address the performance of the Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The meeting was confirmed by the PL leader in the House, (PL-RJ).
Donald Trump’s (Republican) government representative can still meet Bolsonaro himself. The former Brazilian president recovers from surgery in the abdomen. The meeting can take place at Bolsonaro’s house in the Botanical Garden.
