The theme of Met Gala 2025 is linked to the usual institute exhibition which this year is called “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”. This is the first exhibition of the usual institute in over two decades that is focused exclusively on men’s fashion. It is inspired by the book “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diaporic Identity” by Monica L. Miller, 2009.
