The Finns managed to stay the happiest people in the world, while Austria slipped from 14th to 17th to 17th in Happiness Index in 2025. If you follow the findings of the London Institute of Quality of Life, i.e. the Institute for Life Quality, and the Happy City Index he created, then Helsinki Vienna cannot be enough. There the federal capital lands in 12th place, while the Finnish capital only comes in 14th place. Last year Helsinki was still in 6th place and Vienna in 14th place.
