The hotel where the president (PT) And his entourage is staying in Beijing, St. Regis Beijing, one of the most luxurious in the Chinese capital, has an expensive menu.
A cup of simple coffee prepared in express mode – that made on the machine – is sold to 70 yuans. Considering the conversion that the Chinese currency is equivalent to R $ 0.78, the drink costs R $ 54.60. By way of comparison, a pack of 250 grams of coffee in China costs an average of 22 yuans, ie $ 17.18.

Located close to embassies and the Beijing Financial Center, the venture has daily rates of up to R $ 2,500. Lula will be in the hotel for 4 nights. Arrived on Saturday night (10.mai.2025) and will leave China on the morning of Wednesday (14.MAI).

Lula’s trip
The official visit will start in Beijing, on Monday (12.MAI), when Lula will participate in the Brazil-China Seminar, organized by Apexbrasil (Brazilian Agency for Export and Investment Promotion).
Already on Tuesday (13.MAI), the head of the Brazilian executive will participate in the opening of the 4th China-América Latin and Caribbean Forum in the morning. In the afternoon, Lula will have bilateral meetings with the following Chinese authorities:
- President of the Popular Republic of China, XI Jinping;
- Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the National Popular Assembly, Zhao Leji;
- Prime Minister of the Popular Republic of China, I read Qiang.
This Sunday (11.MAI), there are no official commitments on the president’s agenda. This is the 5th time Lula travels to China as president of Brazil.
