The government will negotiate a year after the assassination of Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) on Thursday (15 May) in Handlova. TASR informed the press and information department of the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic.
Fico had previously informed that Smer-SD is preparing on Thursday, for the anniversary of the assassination, several events, including a large meeting in Handlova, to be devoted to the state of society and the risk of increasing tension and polarization as a result of political events.
The premiere was seriously shot after the government meeting in Handlová 15 May 2024 striker Juraj Cintula. It is prosecuted for a particularly serious crime of a terrorist attack. Shooting close to Fico caused several serious injuries.
