SHMI has declared warnings in several regions: Slovaks must count with strong winds and ground frost

The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) issued a first -level warning. They pay preliminary from 10:00 to 17:00 for several districts of Bratislava, Trenčín, Košice, Nitra, Trnava and Prešov regions. SHMI informed about it on his website.

Meteorologists expect the occurrence of wind in places, which reaches speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour. “This speed is a potential danger to human activities. The estimated wind speed is normal at the time of year and the area, but can cause less damage,” specified.

In some districts, SHMI warns against the occurrence of ground frost, which is a threat to the vegetation of lower stature. At a height of five centimeters above the surface, the minimum air temperature is expected to reach 0 to -3 degrees Celsius. “The expected ground frost is not rare at a given season and area, but it can damage the vegetation of lower stature,” he added.
