Retirees and pensioners of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) registered more than 1 million requests for reimbursement of unauthorized discounts made by associative entities.
In total numbers, 1,051,238 insured formalized the platform contest My INSS or by channel 135 of telephone service.

This is only the second day of operation of the service that allows the beneficiary to consult how much discounts have been discounts over the last few years and inform if they have been authorized or not, thus opening an administrative process to receive the money back.
There are 41 associative entities contested in all these launches, covering all who have or had some accreditation with the agency to make the discount.

Investigation
These discounts are investigated by the Federal Police and the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU), which investigates the performance of criminal organizations to defraud the social security benefits, unauthorizedly associating the INSS policyholders.

Associations that have their discounts contested by a insured will have to present individualized documentation, within 15 business days, to prove the voluntary adherence of the beneficiary to discounts or to pay the money due.
In case of payment, the amount will be passed on to the National Treasury for further return to the insured’s account. These organizations will be able to use their own platform available by Dataprev (Social Security Technology and Information Company).

On its website, the INSS warns that has not made telephone calls or sent SMS messages by email, WhatsApp or other different channel from the officers to inform about the discounts of associative entities.
“It is necessary to redouble the care of scams! The official contact with the INSS beneficiaries will be made exclusively through notification in the application My INSS.
