The SaS opposition party filed a criminal complaint in connection with the contract concluded by the Ministry of the Interior (MV) of the Slovak Republic to buy computers on Friday at the General Prosecutor’s Office (GP) of the Slovak Republic. The SaS has identified the order as overpriced and inefficient. It refers to the analysis of the value for the money department of the finance department. He wants the law enforcement authorities to check the whole procedure.
“We suspect that framework contracts show significant overpricing. The total amount of framework contracts is EUR 326 million, while analysts of the Ministry of Finance say that it can be saved by 122 million at the very amount, as the Ministry of the Interior has given the highest amount. If the lowest bid were went, you could save 80 million. And there is also part of computers and monitors at totally extreme prices, ”said Parliament’s deputy at a press conference Marián Viskupič (SaS) With the fact that monitors are to cost more than EUR 1,100, and the state normally buys them for 200 to 250 euros.
He stressed that at a time when the state is looking at every euro in citizens’ wallets, it is necessary to look at whether the state works efficiently and meaningfully. According to Viskupič, the case shows very similar signs to the purchase of police caps, where the MV Tender has already canceled and announced the filing of a criminal complaint.
Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok (Voice-SD) has recently refused criticism of overpriced purchase. He pointed out that it was a framework contract, not a specific purchase. At the same time, he pointed out the need to exchange computers and talked about a high return on investment. He also expects the amount for the technique to be reduced. The Minister stressed that the amount of the contract, ie EUR 326 million, is a framework that gives the space to replace the technology for the entire public administration.
The value for money for the money recommended in the evaluation of the project purchase project to reduce the maximum amount of the framework contract to the lowest offer of the tender, which would reduce the total framework by EUR 81.8 million. He sees another possible savings by replacing high -performance computers and monitors for conventional devices. He also recommended continuously taking into account the prices of individual partial competitions.
