Šutaj Eštok in UAE negotiated with the mutual cooperation of police forces

The Minister of the Interior of the Slovak Republic negotiated in the UAE to strengthen cooperation in the fight against organized crime.

The Minister of the Interior of the Slovak Republic Matúš Šutaj Eštoka received his departmental partner from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Sajf bin Naján Naján on Thursday. They discussed the mutual cooperation of the police forces of both countries and the fight against international organized crime. TASR informed the press department of the Slovak Ministry.

“I look forward to having excellent relationships as well as for the continuation of our cooperation. I would like to particularly highlight the cooperation with the Dubai police, in which our police have undergone professional training at the Police Academy TU in Abu Dhabi, as well as directly at the Dubai police,” said Šutaj Eštok.

International cooperation

The Ministry of the Interior recalls that the representatives of the Police Force of the Slovak Republic attended a meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council in February. The main aim of the meeting was to strengthen international cooperation and coordination between Member States in the field of law enforcement and the fight against cross -border crime.

As the Interior Ministry also states, the Slovak Republic is also a member of the International Security Alliance, which serves as a platform in the fight against international organized crime under the leadership of SAE and consists of 11 countries. The alliance’s activities focuses on the exchange of knowledge and experience in order to promote international peace and security. As part of international cooperation, experts from the Police Force of the Slovak Republic also participated in two workshops in 2024, informs the department.

“I very much appreciate our mutual partnership and I believe that our joint activities will not only continue, but will also develop intensively, which will bring unquestionable benefits for both parties,” said the Minister of the Interior of the Slovak Republic, who invited Šej to visit the Slovak Republic.
