Check out how was the last day of Cassie Ventura’s testimony
Physical abuse
Defense: Ventura said he believed that Combs was drunk, but stated that he could not objectively define if he was in a “blackout” when he dragged her and kicked in an aggression in March 2016, captured by the hotel security cameras. Cassie also accused the rapper of other controlling behaviors, witnessing that he would take his cell phone or passport when he was angry with her.
Redirection of the accusation: The singer said there were times when P. Diddy did not remember having physically abused her, but there were “moments when he was fully aware of what he was doing.” She also added, “It’s just who he was” and who saw him “being violent with other people.”
Rape allegation
Defense: Other messages presented to the jury showed the couple arguing about dating and meetings with others in 2018. The defense questioned where these messages fit into the timeline of that year’s events, after Ventura claimed that Combs raped it after a dinner in August 2018.
Accusation redirection: When asked if I had any questions that Sean Combs raped it in 2018, Cassie Ventura replied, “No.”
“Freak Offs”
Defense: The jury saw a text messaging exchange in which she said she was going to tell the ex that she no longer wanted to participate in her drug -powered sexual performances, but ended up saying that because of his reaction. They also heard a fortune recording threatening a man in March 2014 after he said he saw a sexually explicit video of her. Ventura feared it had been secretly recorded during one.
Redirection of the accusation: Cassie testified that she felt as if she had a “completely different job” and was “basically one” when asked how the “freak offs” interfered with her musical career. The judge granted the defense request to withdraw this response from the registration.
Text messages
Defense: In messages from March and May 2019,, Combs sent text messages to Ventura, partly “sending you love” and saying that she would be “a beautiful mother.” Cassie witnessed that she was pregnant. In later messages, the rapper told her that things “had been definitely difficult without your friendship” and that he “always had only love for you.”
Accusation redirection: In response to a question about the messages, the jury saw that she and Combs express love for each other during the defense questioning. Cassie Ventura witnessed that there were times when the veteran of the music industry was kind and loving, but did not last.
Civil Action Agreement
Defense: Cassie stated that she, her husband and children moved to her parents’ house at Connecticut in October 2023 and were in transition to live on the east coast. The defense asked if she canceled the trip at that time because she found she would receive the $ 20 million agreement from civil action. “That’s not the reason,” he said.
Redirection of the accusation: The artist testified that she would return the money from the deal if that meant she would never have to bear “Freak offs.” Falling in tears, Ventura continued, “If I never had to endure ‘freak offs’, I would have had autonomy and autonomy.”
Throughout the trial, the defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo emphasized the belief that Ventura is the most important witness of the case. “This is the demanded interrogation of a critical witness in a trial involving a life imprisonment sentence,” he said.
Combs stated innocent of five accusations, including an accusation of extortion conspiracy, two accusations of sex trafficking, and two shipping charges for prostitution purposes. If convicted, he may face the life of life imprisonment.
