What should only be part of the celebrations of the 66th anniversary of former mayor and former deputy Vagner José Sales, at the headquarters of the MDB Regional Directory, located at Antonio da Rocha Viana Avenue, in Vila Ivonete, eventually revealed much more than a breakfast by the anniversary of one of the so-called “white heads” that direct the party of Ulysses Guimarães in Acre.
Senator Alan Rick, although affiliated with União Brasil and claiming to be nominated as a candidate for governor by the acronym-who is expected to merge with progressives until the end of the first half of this year-arrived for the celebrations accompanied by former Rio Branco Petista Mayor Marcus Alexandre. This, in turn, was a candidate for the city hall in 2024 by the MDB, but was defeated in the first round by the reelected mayor Tião Bocalom (PL).

Alongside the former petista mayor-whose party Alan Rick has always criticized hard-both chose Tião Bocalom as a kind of “political Judas” to be killed in hard speeches, as if they were on a Hallelujah Saturday and not at a birthday party of one of MDB’s local chiefs.
As soon as he was called to speak at the event, Marcus Alexandre accused noble of incompetence because, according to him, the mayor is returning resources from amendments to works, by Alan Rick, “for disability in execution.”
In return, Alan Rick stated that after almost eight years since Marcus Alexandre left Rio Branco City Hall in 2018 to compete – and lose – the elections for the state government, still affiliated with the PT, “the population misses its administration.”
The two speeches reveal in tune with the future. Declared candidate for the state government in 2026, Alan Rick sees his claims weaken as negotiations for the merger between União Brasil and Progressives, forming the progressive union. In Acre, the new subtitle would be led by Governor Gladson Cameli, who has declared, on several occasions-including the Progressives program that should air in the coming days, according to the Electoral Court calendar for party propaganda-that his candidate will be the current deputy governor Mailza Assis. From April 2026, with Cameli’s resignation to dispute the Senate, Mailza will take over the government.

Alan Rick argues that he will be the chosen candidate because, according to him, the decision will be up to the national executive, who will be under the command of Senator Ciro Nogueira and lawyer Antonio Rueda. In addition, he claims to have the support of Senator Davi Alcolumbre, president of the Senate. Mailza Assis, in addition to Gladson Cameli’s blessings, has the unrestricted support of Ciro Nogueira, the maximum leader of the progressives, with whom she has affinity since both were senators, from 2018 to 2022.
Aware of this scenario, Alan Rick has sought to get closer and closer to the MDB and the so -called “white heads”, to the point of turning a simple birthday party, like today’s, into a true rally. He dreams of having as vice, either in composition or as affiliated with the MDB, Marcus Alexandre himself or the doctor and former federal deputy Jessica Sales, daughter of Vagner Sales, the birthday girl of the day.
Marcus Alexandre, however, would have already refused the possibility of running mandate, whether as a federal or state deputy. Jessica Sales, in turn, would also dream of re -running a chair in the House of Representatives. In Brasilia, in addition to maintaining contracts as a doctor with the Federal District Government, she also has affective ties: her wife resides in the capital, from whom she is away since she ran for Cruzeiro do Sul City Hall, in 2024, when she was defeated by Progressives candidate and current reelected mayor Zequinha Lima.
