A woman was arrested in the act on Monday (19) while exercising at a gym located in the central south zone of Manaus. The action was carried out by the Amazonas Civil Police, who was already investigating the suspicion for illegally acting as a pediatrician, even though he is a student of Physical Education.
Identified as Sophia Livas, the woman had been performing for years as a specialist in children’s heart disease. According to the authorities, she used a stolen stamp of a professional from Getúlio Vargas Hospital and even served children with delicate conditions, such as autism and heart problems, including prescribing controlled medicines.

During the investigations, the police found that the suspect also offered false medical certificates to workers at the Manaus Industrial Pole, which led to the dismissal for just cause of several of them. In addition, there is evidence that she used fake documents to even assume the position of volunteer teacher in a medical course.
Another point highlighted by the police is the misuse of the image of the mayor of Manaus on social networks. Sophia introduced herself as the manager’s niece and used a picture of the politician with her daughter to reinforce the lie.
In her house, the investigators found more counterfeit documents and blank prescriptions. Sophia was arrested as she exercised for the glutes at the gym and now she should respond for illegal exercise of medicine, ideological falsehood and use of false documents.
