The other 30 associations supported Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos, president of the Paulista Football Federation (FPF). They joined a manifesto who made demands on the CBF and tried to articulate an abstention in the election.
Along with Xaud, they assume the vice-presidents Flávio Zveiter, former president of the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD); Michelle Ramalho, President of the Paraibana Football Federation; José Vanildo, President of the Rio Grande do Norte Federation; Ricardo Paul, President of the Pará Federation; Ednailson Rozenha, President of the Amazon Federation; Rubens Angelloti, President of the Santa Catarina Federation; Fernando Sarney, former vice and president and current interim; and Gustavo Dias Henrique, president of the Federal District Federation.
From the Samir plate, Gustavo Dias Henrique, Ednailson Roze and Rubens Angelotti were elected in April, with Ednaldo, to the term that would start in 2026 and would go until 2030. Now, they will be vice in the quadrennium 2025-2029.
The novelty of Samir Xaud’s plate is the presence of Flávio Zveiter he was a presidential candidate of the CBF in 2024, in the first departure from Ednaldo Rodrigues, and acted behind the scenes for the acceptance of Xaud’s name as a candidate. Zveiter must act as CBF CEO.
