Representatives of 20 clubs and 26 federations were at CBF headquarters. The Paulista Federation was the only absent.
Samir Xaud on Ancelotti: “Give autonomy without external interference”
In an exclusive interview with Metropolisthe now president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Samir Xaud, 41, stated that he plans to give peace to the Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, who will command the men’s team.
“We have already made previous contacts behind the scenes to give him security, legal certainty. We need to give him autonomy, let work without external interference,” he said.

Meet Samir Xaud
Single candidate for the CBF presidency, Samir Xaud is 41 years old and is the current president -elect of the Roraimense Football Federation (FRF).
Born in Boa Vista, capital of Roraima, Xaud is a doctor, with specialization in infectiousology and sports medicine. He acts as an entrepreneur in the sport, and owns a training center focused on fitness and well-being.
Elected president of the Roraimense Football Federation, Xaud would take office only in 2027. His father, Zeca Xaud, turns 40 ahead of the FRF in 2026, when he would leave the vague chair for the doctor to take over the post in 2027. However, Samir will have to resign the federation presidency as he cannot accumulate both positions.
