If we want the bedroom to float a beautiful summer smell, we can reach for branches of aromatic herbs.
Storage of bedding
Bedding, which we store in the closet after washing, may lose a pleasant smell, so it’s worth putting in it branches of rosemary. The plant, which we associate with the aromatization of Italian cuisine dishes, will also work as an air freshener. In addition, its intense smell will work perfectly as a moth repellent. We replace the rosemary branches once a week. The second method is to create material bags in which an aromatic plant is located. The twigs can be whole or broken and wrapped with a colorful ribbon. Place the bags between the pillowcases in the wardrobe. The delicate herbal smell is perfect for the summer and is associated with a walk through Croatian islands, where rosemary occurs naturally.
Bedding mist
If we still want to strengthen the smell, we can prepare a homemade mist for bedding. We need oil or essential oils with a favorite fragrance. In expensive hotels, lavender and chamomile (15 ml) are usually used. Ordinary vodka (95 ml), distilled water (400 ml) and a bottle with an atomizer will also be useful for the mixture. Mix alcohol with essential oils. Then add distilled water and mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Later, we only pour into a bottle and the mist is ready. It is important to write the spray date on the bottle. The expiry date of the natural product is about half a year. Exposure to light and heat can cause faster degradation of oils, so it’s best to use a tinted bottle and store a spray in a cool, dark place. If the mist changes the smell, it is a sign that you need to prepare a new one. Before each use of the bedding spray, gently shake the bottle, then gently spray the fabric. The mist will work best if we spray the bedding right after washing. Remember that in the same way you can prepare a freshener for other fabrics at home.
