United States President Donald Trump will participate in a summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the Netherlands later this month, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Tuesday (3).
The meeting is scheduled for June 24 and 25, in the city of The Hague.
In recent months, Trump has pressured alliance members to increase their own defense spending on Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
However, only 22 of the 32 NATO members currently reach the 2%ceiling.
Although he has already stated that war in the country should also be debated during the meeting.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has participated in the latest domes and has support from member countries.
